Training provided:

Level 2 Apprenticeship in Business Administration, which includes:
  • Level 2 Diploma in Business and Administration
  • Level 2 Technical Certificate
  • Level 1/2 Functional Skills in English and maths (if required)
  • Employee Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)
  • Day release to attend a session once a week at our Hull Learning Centre
You will have access to your own online e-portfolio to monitor your progress and access resources. You will be assigned a Trainer who specialises in teaching and delivering the Business Administration qualification; they will be with you during your sessions in the centre and also make regular visits to see you in your place of work. Sessions are kept small to ensure each learner gets the correct support and guidance throughout the duration of their apprenticeship.

We are currently seeking a Stock Control Assistant based at the Head Office in Hull. The role supports the Stock Control Team with general administration and answering the phone, as well as inputting and updating records. Some duties will include:

  • To supply sales staff with details of unavailable stock and when it will be replenished
  • Scanning, filing and photocopying
  • Data entry and extraction
  • To liaise with buyers, sales, transport and cold store for purchase and distribution of intakes
  • To process inter-company orders
  • To liaise with sales staff to ensure awareness of large orders
  • To process reserve stock or store 5 orders
  • To report to the Purchasing Manager details of supplier failures
  • To participate as a member of the HACCP Team (if required) and execute any training and/or duties issued by the Coldstore Manager
  • To assist the stock office coordinator to collaborate with and coordinate the activities of external regulators, auditors or investigators, including Health and Safety Executive, Environmental Health Department, BRC Certification Body – and respond to comments/recommendations
  • To take responsibility for the safety, legality and quality of products and systems within your control
  • To carry out any other duties/tasks/responsibilities within the overall context of this job description as may be requested by the stock office coordinator and which are within the jobholder’s capabilities (after further training if necessary)
