Qualifications required:

  • Maths & English GCSE Grades A* - C or 4 - 9 are preferred.

Training provided:

  • Level 2 apprenticeship in Business Administration, which includes:
    • Level 2 Diploma in Business and Administration
    • Level 2 Technical Certificate
    • Level 1/2 Functional Skills in English and Maths (if required)
    • Employee Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
    • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)
    • Day release to attend a session once a week at our Hull Learning Centre
    You will have access to your own online e-portfolio to monitor your progress and access resources. You will be assigned a Trainer who specialises in teaching and delivering the Business Administration qualification; they will be with you during your sessions in the centre and also make regular visits to see you in your place of work. Sessions are kept small to ensure each learner gets the correct support and guidance throughout the duration of their apprenticeship

Description:

To act as receptionist dealing with daily visitors, managing the telephone, supporting the administration duties and dealing with requests for visitors and taking messages.

  • Meet and greet all visitors to the office including clients and other professionals
  • Answering the telephone and dealing with the callers in the most appropriate manner, including transferring the call to the relevant person or taking a message and relaying the message to the relevant person
  • Management of the electronic diaries of the partners including making appointments with clients and other professionals as well as other entries as instructed
  • Scanning and filing of all documentation accurately and on a timely basis to ensure the continued efficient running of the office
  • Typing of letters using WORD and the collation of documentation to send out to clients and other authorities such as HMRC and Companies House
  • Collating the post and use of the franking machine on a daily basis
  • Update and maintain the client database including the set-up of new clients
