Requirements

Qualifications required:

  • GCSE grades A*-C in maths & English (or equivalent) are preferred

Training provided:

The successful candidate will undertake an Intermediate:
  • Level 2 Apprenticeship in Hospitality
  • Functional Skills in maths and English (where required)
  • Food Hygiene Technical Certificate

Description:

This will be a varied role working for a popular local deli. You will work in the kitchen to prepare food items and also assist on the counter working closely with the customers and dealing with enquires.

Duties will include:

Kitchen
  • Preparing food items
  • Baking
  • Basic Butchery
  • Sandwich fillings and salads
  • Counter items
  • Opening and closing of kitchen
  • Cleaning and ensuring high standard of food safety is maintained
  • Safe use of equipment
  • Safe storage of food items
Counter
  • Ensuring customer receive excellent customer service
  • Making sandwiches, salad boxes etc. to order
  • Providing advice to customers
  • Handling payments
  • Ensuring counter is cleaned and maintained
