Qualifications required:

  • GCSE at grade A* - C/9 - 4 (or equivalent) in maths and English are essential.

Training provided:

This is typically an 18 month apprenticeship with an end point assessment taking place once the on-programme training has been completed. Training will be carried out in the work place on an individual basis. Before the end assessment can take place, the apprentice must have successfully achieved Level 2 English and maths. Apprentices with eligible English and maths qualifications are not required to undertake the functional skills element of the training. Apprentices will have their knowledge and technical understanding formally assessed at relevant times during their apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is recognised for entry onto the register of IT technicians confirming SFIA level 3 professional competence and those completing the apprenticeship are eligible to apply for registration.

We are pleased to announce that we are looking to recruit an IT Apprentice to assist with the duties of the Groupe Atlantic UK Division IT ServiceDesk. This will be a diverse role which will enable you to develop and expand your knowledge.

  • Answering the telephone
  • Logging IT request tickets from users
  • Liasing with users to resolve IT request tickets
  • IT system user account management
  • IT procurement (under the direction of the Team Leader)
  • Configuring desktop and laptop PC’s using imaging software
  • Configuring Android and Apple mobile devices using Mobile Device Management software
  • Assist with troubleshooting of PC/software problems for end users
  • IT equipment deployment to business users
  • Writing documentation to assist others with general tasks and issues
  • Updating IT equipment asset lists (including carrying out site audit)
  • Assist (as required) with any network or server tasks
  • Adhering and assisting with maintaining Office ‘5S’ standards
  • Any other general IT duties
