Working week/hours: This role is a fantastic opportunity for those wanting to develop their career in an educational environment. You will begin with administration and reception based duties and progress in to offering support to the Finance team. Working in a supportive and friendly team, you will develop an array of different skills to help you progress.

Apprenticeship duration: 15 Months Maximum with future full time position available for the right candidate.

Apprenticeship level: Intermediate (Level 2)

Qualifications required:

  • English and maths GCSE (or equivalent) grade A*-C/9-4.

Training provided:

Level 2 apprenticeship in Business Administration, which includes:
  • Level 2 Diploma in Business and Administration
  • Level 2 Technical Certificate
  • Level 1/2 Functional Skills in English and maths (if required)
  • Employee Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)
  • Day release to attend a session once a week at our Hull Learning Centre
You will have access to your own online e-portfolio to monitor your progress and access resources. You will be assigned a Trainer who specialises in teaching and delivering the Business Administration qualification; they will be with you during your sessions in the centre and also make regular visits to see you in your place of work. Sessions are kept small to ensure each learner gets the correct support and guidance throughout the duration of their apprenticeship.

Description:

  • To promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people
  • Undertake reception duties, answering general telephone and face to face enquiries and signing in visitors
  • Provide general admin support (photocopying, filing, complete standard forms etc.)
  • Process all purchase orders, invoices and payments using PS Financials/School Money Online
  • Check all supplier statements and investigate outstanding payments to comply with statutory timescales
  • Maintain links with suppliers to identify delivery details and orders
  • Support the School Business Manager/Admin Manager with the sale of school uniform to parents and carers
  • Record pupil and staff meals and payments and be responsible for all related banking and administration
  • Issue invoices and maintain an accurate database of music tuition fees collected from parents and carers
  • Support School Business Manager to operate the use of the schools debit card, ensuring the schools finance policy is followed at all times
  • Administering of school trips and outings
  • Following all relevant legislations and regulations such as Health and Safety and General Date Protection
  • Any other related duties
