We’ll sit down and get to know you so that we can understand your strengths, your weaknesses and what you’d love to do. Together we can then develop a Learning Plan to help you get to where you want to be. Everyone’s plan is as individual as them and we’ll support you to get to your end goal.
Qualifications can be an important requirement for an employer or a college, but if you didn’t get A* – C GCSE grades in Maths and English, don’t worry, we can help and support you.
Career Link offers young people the opportunity to gain:
- Functional Skills Maths and English qualifications up to Level 2

All learners begin Functional Skills at their level. Functional Skills qualifications range from Entry Level 1 to Level 2 in both Maths and English. Also, you only sit exams when you feel ready.
Your Learning Plan also offers work experience opportunities. We’ll work with you to find an employer who is happy to provide you with some valuable work experience in an area you’d like to work in. You never know where this could lead to but gaining work experience is a fantastic way to build up the skills needed to gain employment. It’s great to put on your CV.
Your CV will be updated regularly to record the qualifications, the work skills and the work experience you gain.

Working with Autism
Autism is a lifelong, developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with and relates to other people, and how they experience the world around them.
Autistic people see, hear and feel the world differently to other people. If you are autistic, you are autistic for life; autism is not an illness or disease and cannot be cured. Often people feel being autistic is a fundamental aspect of their identity.
