Tomorrow it’s GCSE results day and before you know it, you’ll have your exam results after all these weeks of waiting!

So, after GCSE Results Day, what’s next for you? What do you want to be? What do you want to do with your future?

One of the routes you may be considering is apprenticeships, which are a great route for entering the world of work and gaining training, skills and experience in the workplace whilst also earning money along the way.

On our website you can find lots of information – both for you and also for your parents. We tell you more about the benefits of apprenticeships, which apprenticeships YH delivers, and, our latest apprenticeship vacancies. We’ve also got a Questions & Answers section where we’ve tried to answer lots of the commonly asked questions….but don’t worry, we’re here to answer your questions to talk about the different options that are available to you. We’re also here to help you prepare your CV and apply for any apprenticeship vacancies that you’re interested in.

Here’s what a few of our apprentices who started an apprenticeship straight from school have to say about their experience….

“Before leaving school I knew I wanted to work for St Leger Homes and was so pleased to join the team as a Customer Service Advisor. Everything is new but I’m learning fast and know that my apprenticeship is going to help me gain the skills and experience that I need to progress and do well in life.” – Mia, 16, Customer Service Apprentice

“When I first started working at Gear4music I was straight out of school, the world of work was completely new to me and I was very quiet…but I’ve come on so much. I really enjoy what I do and get on well with everyone in the team. I’ve also now nearly completed my apprenticeship and know that once I’ve got my qualification then I’m going to be able to earn more money, which is great.” – Matt, 18. Gear4Music

Visit our website, call us, or drop into your local centre if you want to talk about apprenticeships.
