The Whitby & District Fishing Industry Training School offers apprenticeships and courses which cover all areas of the maritime industry, both commercial and leisure They also offer Functional Skills and Employment and Personal Development (EPD) qualifications to learners wishing to take up careers in the Maritime industry. The company has won several awards for it’s training delivery and success, and holds current awards for quality systems in both management and training.
The training school offers training for: new entrants to the fishing industry, experienced fishermen, leisure boaters and commercial seafarers.
Based in Scarborough and Malton, the Academy have specialised in delivering outstanding training for the hairdressing and beauty therapy industry since 1999.
The Academy offers a range of City & Guilds hair and beauty courses including hairdressing, beauty therapy, barbering and nails services. Their training contracts also cover Functional Skills in English and Maths and employability skills, including customer service and retailing products and services.
Northern Regeneration CIC is the brainchild of Managing Director, Graham Ratcliffe, who wanted to support local people, communities and businesses to capitalise on economic growth opportunities in the construction industry.
The team have over 30 years of experience in the industry, specialising in social value, corporate social responsibility, employment and skills.

Mark Betts Hairdressing was created in 1997 by the husband and wife team of Mark and Alison Betts.
Their vision was to create a state of the art salon with a dynamic and relaxed atmosphere where only the best will do.
We were rated 5* in the good salon guide and were one of the founding members. We also have contributed to articles featuring in Vogue and countless hair and fashion magazines.
Our stylist and educators are trained in every aspect of Hairdressing and Barbering education,with ongoing training throughout each year.
