Team Leading / Customer Service / Management Trainer (f/t)

Location: York

Commencement Salary package: £20,400 - £28,000 dependent on qualifications and experience. 5% benefits / cash option package after 6 months employment and immediate life assurance cover from commencement of employment.

Aim of role and main responsibility is to provide training and support to learners

Duties to include:

  • Delivery of relevant units of competence and assess learners' progress in the above areas to a caseload of learners with an achievement rate of 75% on Ttg (Train to Gain) and 55% on Apprenticeships
  • Maintaining the minimum caseload of 35 and achieve in line with individual achievement sheet
  • Delivery of Key Skills, additional units and Technical Certificates when available within the Apprenticeship/Advanced Apprenticeship/Train to Gain frameworks.
  • Preparation of course work and compilation of relevant documentation.
  • Be responsible for the effective use of all resources.
  • Assisting with the development and delivery of private training.
  • Maximizing any potential future business opportunities.
  • Maintenance of all records in line with YH and LSC procedures and requirements.

We are looking for a qualified trainer with the relevant occupational experience who possesses a minimum of A1 with Key Skills; together with ideally L&D Level III. You will have extensive occupational experience to meet the requirements of the Awarding Bodies, and experience of Government Funded work-based learning (GFWBL).

Driving licence desirable.

Work Experience Co-ordinator (p/t) x 2

Location: York / Scarborough

Commencement Salary package: £15,600 - £17,400 dependent on qualifications and experience. 5% benefits / cash option package after 6 months employment and immediate life assurance cover from commencement of employment.

The aim of this role is to develop and build on our successful relationship with schools in the North Yorkshire area, by continuing to provide a high quality service to all our customers involved in this project.

Duties to include:

  • Review learners and monitor placements in the aforementioned areas
  • Deliver relevant qualifications as required (key skills, preparation for employment, technical certificates etc)
  • Contact employers and organise work experience placements
  • Interview students for work experience
  • Carry out health and safety induction
  • Liaise with teachers, schools and employers with regards progress of students whilst in placement
  • Deliver workshops at schools / colleges for induction / health and safety / employability skills / team building / confidence building

This role is approximately 900 hours per year (three days per week) York position or 600 hours per year (two days per week) Scarborough - term time only however there is potential for this role to become full time by the taking on of additional duties and responsibilities. These duties would involve the NEET / e2e learners.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed pro-active individual with excellent communication skills and the aptitude and ability to relate to young people and employers. Experience of delivering training in a similar environment would be advantageous. You will be computer literate and have an excellent grasp of English and Maths. 5 GCSE’s (grades A-C) or equivalent as a minimum required. Driving Licence essential. Access to own vehicle essential.

5% benefit package option after 6 months employment.

Centre Manager f/t

Location – Scarborough

Salary Scale and Benefits: Salary £29,100 with 5% benefits / cash option package after 6 months employment and immediate life assurance cover from commencement of employment.

Based at our Scarborough Learning Centre and responsible to the MD, the main aim of this role is to manage the training centre profitably, ensuring occupancy targets are met whilst providing high quality support to all centre based staff.

This position requires you to be a qualified and experienced trainer (holding a minimum of A1 and having a proven history of apprenticeship / Train to Gain delivery), together with managerial experience in a similar environment. You should be enthusiastic and professional in order to manage the day to day running of the Learning Centre effectively.

Salary progression for centre managers will be in line with centre income.
