Team Leading Level 2

The Team Leading Level 2 (Intermediate) qualification provides an opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge and experience an employee needs to  progress to higher level roles within a business and to take on additional responsibilities and onto further and higher qualifications, if they wish to do so. Training undertaken will vary depending on the level and sector in which they are employed, but may include; planning, allocating and monitoring the work of the team, giving feedback, briefing teams, supporting team members, managing conflict, resolving problems, project management,  improving customer service and much more

Who will benefit?

This qualification is designed for those who have been promoted into a management role or, those who are new to team leading and lead a team and are responsible for its performance. It also provides the first steps towards preparing for progression to a management qualification.

Outcomes and Progression

Outcomes:-

The Team Leading Qualification will benefit your business and employees by enabling them to meet many objectives; listed below are just a few examples:

  • Identify and assess progress against performance requirements in their own work role.
  • Understand the benefits and establish working relationships with colleagues and be able to identify potential work-related difficulties and explore solutions.
  • Be able to communicate a team’s purpose and objectives to the team members, develop a plan with team members showing how team objectives will be met and monitor and evaluate progress and recognise individual and team achievement.
  • Plan and allocate work across a team and monitor, evaluate and improve team performance.
  • Understand own responsibilities under equality legislation, relevant codes of practice and own organisational policies.
  • Understand how to identify potential and actual conflicts within a team and take action to resolve them.
  • Able to prepare for, lead and follow up issues identified in meetings.
  • Understand the process of decision-making, and identify and analyse information to enable them to come to a final decision.

This is just a very small example of the outcomes. When you sit down with our trainer and discuss your requirements in more detail they will be able to give you a better understanding of the outcomes that can be delivered.

Progression:-

On completion of your qualification, your trainer will discuss any opportunities for progression onto further qualifications.
