Retail Levels 2 and 3

The Level 2 (Intermediate) Apprenticeship develops the skills and knowledge of people working as sales assistants, customer service assistants, stock room assistants together with more specialised roles such as beauty consultants who are dealing with customers in all aspects of retail sales.

The Level 3 (Advanced) Apprenticeship is aimed at supervisors, team leaders, department managers or the store manager at a small outlet and has three pathways: Sales professional, Management and Visual Merchandising.

Who will benefit?

People who are new to the retail environment or those who have recently been promoted into the role. The qualifications are relevant in a variety of retail settings, including shops, department stores and e-retail.

They also reflect the range and depth of competence in retail operation skills, required by individuals working in all retail organisations. There are many areas covered in the qualification and our Trainer can discuss and provide you with a comprehensive list of units.

Outcomes:-

The Retail Operations Qualification will benefit both businesses and employees by enabling learners them to meet many objectives; listed below are just a few examples:

  • Display products and maintain stock on sale at required levels.
  • Deal with customers, process payments and returned goods, and resolve customer service issues.
  • Follow guidelines for planning and preparing visual merchandising displays.
  • Organise the receipt and storage of goods in a retail environment.
  • Audit stock levels and stock inventories in a retail environment.
  • Understand and contribute to Health & Safety legislation.
  • Know how to process donated goods in a retail environment for selling or recycling.
  • Promote continuous improvement in customer service.
  • Listen to customers’ needs and provide information and advice to meet those needs.

This is just a very small example of the outcomes, which can improve the skills of the employees and the profitability of the business.
