Who is it suitable for?

ESOL Skills for Life qualifications support speakers of other languages based within the UK to develop their English language skills for work, further learning or everyday life.

There are three components to the qualification:

  1. Speaking and Listening
  2. Reading
  3. Writing

To complete the qualification, each component must be completed at a level suitable to the learner.  The course lasts for 20 weeks and you would attend at our centre 1 day per week.

Who would benefit?

This course is intended for anyone based in the UK needing to improve their understanding and use of written or spoken English. This might be to help get on at work (or get a job), prepare for further study, access public services, or just to function more effectively in an English-speaking environment. The qualification have been developed for the widest range of learners possible from a variety of backgrounds as well as for those who are pre-employment or between jobs.

It is currently FREE for anyone who is unemployed.

Outcome and Progression

From this qualification you should have the  confidence and competence to undertake a wide range of  further qualifications, we would discuss your options on completion of this course.
