Sales available at Level 2

This Level 2 (Intermediate) Apprenticeship is designed to meet the needs of employers of all sizes across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors and is designed to meet employer skills priorities.

Tasks undertaken will vary depending on the level and sector in which people are employed. Tasks may include; selling face-to-face or by telephone, processing sales orders, supporting customers in obtaining finance for purchases, generating and qualifying sales leads, meeting after sales needs, making presentations, supervising sales or telesales staff, and many many more.

Who will benefit? 

Employees in a wide range of sales roles whether new to the industry role or those who have been promoted to the role.  The qualification is designed to cater for the wide range and diversity of job roles where competence in selling is vital.

Outcomes and Progression


The Sales qualification at Level 2 (Intermediate)  will benefit both businesses and employees by enabling them to meet many objectives; listed below are just a few examples:

  • Obtain the knowledge and understanding needed to understand, evaluate and act on buyer behaviour needs.
  • Understand the process of generating and qualifying sales leads.
  • Understand the use of sales and marketing information sources and systems to enable to ensure they target the appropriate audience .
  • Understanding the various ways that buying signals are indicated and how to close the sale by acting on them.

On completion of your qualification, your trainer will discuss any opportunities for progression onto further qualifications.
